Michelle ensures her students are actively engaged in the professional community. She arranges for them to attend key meetings, including those with incoming chairs of the AICPA, including a visit to the capitol to meet with legislators. Her dedication extends beyond her immediate students. She has organized and executed numerous events for middle and high school students, raising awareness about the CPA profession. Through activities like the lemonade stand exercise, Michelle brings her vibrant energy and enthusiasm to show young students the importance of becoming a CPA and how it can be a steppingstone for various careers, particularly for entrepreneurs.
Michelle's commitment doesn't stop there. She has worked diligently to forge partnerships with other schools and organizations, creating programs that offer graduate students valuable courses at affordable rates, helping them complete their additional 30 hours of education. She forged a partnership with Schoolcraft College and the Accounting Aid Society to equip students with valuable skills and empower them to give back to their community by assisting individuals and families during tax season.
