Alvin Lockett, founder of RTTM Community Center (RTTMCC), has served the Detroit community since 2016. A Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit alumnus and former Assistant Technical Director, Alvin launched RTTMCC in 2018 and the Que Blackout Youth Theater in 2020. Over the years, his leadership has provided transformative opportunities for more than 400 Detroit residents annually, with digital literacy, health, financial empowerment, and youth mentorship programs.

Alvin's vision has created lasting impacts, primarily through Que Blackout Youth Theater, where arts and technology merge to prepare youth for tech theater, marketing, and media arts careers. His efforts have resulted in students securing paid positions in local churches, schools, and congressional offices, building valuable workforce skills. Alvin’s leadership extends beyond RTTMCC. He serves as Chair of Devices & Connectivity for Connect 313 and is a Ford Foundation Fellow focused on community empowerment.

Alvin and RTTMCC are grounded in empathy and professionalism, providing hope and access to underserved communities. Alvin has built a legacy of confidence and opportunity by introducing youth to new industries and diverse perspectives, ensuring Detroit’s next generation thrives. His dedication continues to make a difference, one student and one family at a time.
