Khyiana has produced a lasting change for individuals, organizations, communities by being the face for Deaf , black and brown youth, have you heard of the saying out of mind , out of sight , most people do not think about the Deaf community but Khyiana created a book , a series of books so that their voices can be heard. She has partnered with several organizations such as Greater Metro Detroit :Lions Clubs, Detroit Community School Districts, Deaf CAN, Association for the Advancement of Deaf and hard of hearing, Detroit Public Schools, Detroit PAL and more

Khyiana loves to volunteer at different organizations, at her former schools she want everyone to know that she is not handicap, she wants to prove that she can make it and will succeed, she won 1st place prize for the Michigan Chronicle Schloarship, she has also won the spirit of Detroit Award

Khyiana is unique because she is Deaf, and even thought she is Deaf she will make a way to be able to communicate with others and to help others, she is selfless, she always is smiling and love everyone , please consider Khyiana for this award
