Hero Story

Edward Smith has been a lifelong Rotarian, and espouses the Rotary model, service above self. He has created projects donating life saving equipment, and funds to local Fire, EMT, and Police departments to protect the residents of his area. He has projects assisting veterans, like Victory gym, a free gym for veterans with counseling, and help for veterans and 1st responders. He raises monies annually for coats for children, assisting the children of Downriver Michigan with assistance, toys, clothes, etc. He and his group mentor many local students, and businesses, having them also become involved in caring, and creating a better Downriver (SE Michigan). He still does this and serves the residents of Brownstown Township as Supervisor
