St. Pio Christian Service

Roseville

Hero Story

St. Pio Christian Service has a Food Pantry and Baby Closet that serves Macomb County, MI. During Covid 19 and when the Edenville Dam collapsed several trips provided nonperishable foods, baby formula, diapers, wipes and clothing, to Gladwin for the surrounding areas. Most recently, St. Pio assisted a homeless mother and her 7 children with housing so she could complete her schooling. Food, baby needs, clothing, and housing expenses helped her work an internship while her children were in Roseville Public Schools. She graduated, has a future plan, and moved into a house. MCREST (Macomb County Rotating Emergency Team) has received meals, packages and financial assistance benefiting their guests and housing structures. We provided meals for those effected following the fire at Gianna House in Eastpointe. These great works should not over shadow helping grandmothers that receives custody overnight from CPS, parents of special needs, and unemployed parents with mouths to feed. The shelves are stocked by donations from parishioners and the community. Young families and seniors visit St. Pio weekly. We serve approximately 30 families/100 people monthly. Our volunteers give their time, talents, and service for the mission to serve one another.
