Since 2016 Dr. Sablaban has severed as the mental health and psychiatry liaison for the Islamic Center of Detroit, ultimately establishing and engaging mental health committees and events all over southeast Michigan geared towards Arab American and Muslim American communities. During the same time between 2012 and 2017 he engaged in mentorship in the city of Detroit, particularly with high school students interested in going into the sciences and medicine.
