Hero Story

Sawyer Hendrickson may only be 14 years old, but she has been Serving Those Who Serve for the past 7 years. Her story starts when her older brother joined the Marine Corps when she was just 6 1/2 years old. She started sending some care packages to him and fellow Marines and this labor of love quickly grew into a world wide effort for military members serving around the globe. Sawyer within 2 years then founded her own 501c3 nonprofit organization Miss Sawyer's Kids With A Cause and annually ships over 25,000 care packages and over 10,000 filled Christmas stockings to those not going home to their families.
Sawyer is deeply involved with advocating for Veterans as well, reminding people that our Freedom Isn't Free. She has started her own R.E.D. Friday initiative to Remember Everyone Deployed and she also has her own Roses To Remember Project to Honor Those Who Gave All.
