Hero Story

Susan Shively has been an active participant in many pay-it-forward opportunities, including the Hearts of Heartside program. Though she works as a real estate agent, she actively uses skills she’s obtained throughout her career to do work for people in serious need, such as those who lack resources or basic necessities. She commits her time both in and out of work to ensure that anyone who needs help getting a home receives the attention and care that everyone deserves--especially those in the most desperate of situations. Susan shines as an example of someone in the Grand Rapids community who works to provide help and services to many when they wouldn't have it otherwise.
