Hero Story

Jasmine Edwards is a mentoring specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County, located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She is responsible for Volunteer and Child/Family Enrollment at Big Brothers Big Sisters. In her duties regarding Volunteer Enrollment, she is responsible for the background checks, applications, and interviews of all of the volunteers who sign up to mentor the youth in our program. In her duties regarding Child and Family Enrollment, she helps families complete applications and is in charge of the family interviews that are required to be a part of our program. Not only is she excellent at both aspects of her job, but she does it with a positive outlook and nothing but a great attitude! I fully believe that her role at our agency is critical, and she goes above and beyond her job title, for the betterment of the lives of the youth and families we serve.
