Blue The Breckenridge Therapy Dog

Breckenridge

Hero Story

Blue is one of the two therapy dogs at Breckenridge Community Schools! Blue has been serving the Breckenridge Community since 2018 by providing comfort, relief, and many smiles to the school's students and staff. Blue not only spreads positivity to those in the classroom, but he also waits in the school's lobby to greet students in the morning and say 'goodbye' when the school day ends; joins the school in distributing its 'Second Chance Breakfast'; attends assemblies, and visits all of the schools in the district.

Blue is an official staff member of the school and is by far the most popular! He makes a difference by spreading love to each student he interacts with. Blue inspires students to be their best selves, and has even inspired some to make toys for him and write grants. Blue has even inspired the district to allow another therapy dog, Goldie, who serves the elementary school. When students are not able to be in school, they can keep up with his posts on his Facebook Page. Blue has been a HERO for Breckenridge Community Schools, the town as a whole, and each student he interacts with. Keep it up, Blue!
