Hero Story

Kurt Sebaly is the Executive Director of Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor, Michigan. Penrickton Center provides five day residential and day care services to blind, multi-disabled children at no cost to the families. Penrickton Center relies solely on private donations for their services.

The center is both a residential and day learning facility and is recognized internationally for its educational techniques.

Because it relies on donations, the pandemic was a very hard time for the Penrickton Center, however, Kurt adapted and made possible a myriad of fundraising opportunities, worked on completing an addition, and as always, was involved in every night and every weekend events to alert the public about Penrickton and to raise funds for Penrickton.

Kurt is a dedicated individual with a tireless drive to do the best for the students under his care. The entire Penrickton Center is a gem to the community and services the most difficult of students- a godsend for the families involved.
