Renee C. Brown is the director of the Center for Community-Engaged Learning (CCEL) at Michigan State University (MSU). Brown joined MSU in July 2013. In that role, she oversees the advancement of community-engaged learning for MSU's students, faculty members, and community partners. Renee also teaches social innovation courses and mentors student social entrepreneurs at MSU. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Capital Area United Way, as the campus representative for The Research Universities & Colleges Engagement Network (TRUCEN), and on Advisory Board for the Campus Compact for Michigan.
What is unique about Brown's service is she advocates for students and the overall wealth of the East Lansing and Lansing communities.
