Danielle Grubaugh

DeWitt

Hero Story

Danielle Grubaugh has served Michigan throughout the years in various ways. Over the past eight years, DJ has been developing various economic opportunities in Ingham, Clinton, and Eaton counties through her career at Peckham where she is currently the Director of Community Services. Danielle currently holds long standing volunteer positions; she's serving five years with the Junior League of Lansing, a non-profit with a community focus of food and housing security, and on Lett’s Advisory Board where Danielle holds a position and volunteers her time to various clean up and community building events. Danielle has also had past long-term volunteer commitments for the Peckham Helping Hands Aktion Club, an organization that promotes leadership and volunteer activities for adults with disabilities, and Highfields, a nonprofit dedicated to helping troubled youth empower themselves towards a brighter future as group facilitator for two years.

Danielle goes beyond her standing commitments and also volunteers with various organizations, such as the Greater Lansing Food Bank, Community in Schools of Michigan, Haven House, Habitat for Humanity, Capital Area Response Effort, Lifeboat Recovery Network Services, and Foot Prints of Michigan, just to name a few. Covid did not stop Danielle from her commitment to helping Michiganders, though, as she offered her service at several Covid vaccination clinics with Sparrow, Ingham County Health Department, and Barry-Eaton Health Department. Danielle not only dedicates herself to serving those in Michigan, she also inspires others to help. She is always reaching out to let others know of volunteer opportunities because for Danielle, the only thing better than volunteering is volunteering with friends.
