Hero Story

Jeff has been serving the Mid-Michigan community through his volunteerism for many, many years. A long-time volunteer for Child and Family Charities, Jeff is always taking the initiative to seek new and creative ways to help the agency spread its mission and serve more individuals. As the marketing director for America's Preferred Home Warranty, one of Child and Family Charities' major corporate donors, Jeff has taken a hands-on approach to the philanthropic culture rooted in his workplace. Jeff has personally become a champion for the agency.

In addition to his volunteer work with Child and Family Charities, Jeff has also been a Big Brother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Capital Region program (earning the 2021 Big Brother of the Year award), volunteered with Relay for Life, restarted the Lansing Area Chapter of the National Stuttering Association (later to take over regionally and earning the 2017 Volunteer of the Year Award), and served on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition.
