Hero Story

Perennial Park has been serving the older adults of Hillsdale since 1983. They provide programs which improve their health, independence, and involvement in the community. Recently the center has hosted vaccine clinics and assisted older adults in making and getting to appointments. They also worked with consumers energy to provide water during power outages as well as offering the building as a cooling site, and allowing access to showers. During the pandemic and recent power outages, the organization has continued to deliver and offer meals, provide online support groups and exercise classes, as well as wellness checks for the older adult community of Hillsdale.
