Midnight Golf Program
Bingham Farms
Hero Story
The mission of the Midnight Golf Program states that they "are dedicated to equipping determined young adults through life skills training, proactive coaching, long-term mentoring and the discipline of golf in order to succeed in college, in their careers and beyond."
The Midnight Golf Program is a powerful youth development that supports young people that are seniors in high school. We have 60 male and female mentors between the age of 25-80 years old.
The Mentors play an important role in maintaining youth participating in life skills presentations, mentors offer friendship and counsel and give professional advice on a variety of subjects. Most importantly they lead focused mentoring sessions called "Tee-Time" to expand the learning provided in the life skills sessions.
The Midnight Golf Program is a 30 week program that meets twice weekly. Mentors support by serving food, cleaning up, providing golf instruction or facilitating "Tee Time." Mentors maintain contact with assigned youth as long as there is an affiliation with the Midnight Golf Program throughout the youth's college experience and into their career development. Between time on the Golf Course and in "Tee Time," Mentors make a huge impact on the lives of youth and help them prepare for their incredible lives in front of them!
