Ethan Morgan and Gabe Olivier cooled off in the northern Michigan water when they heard a yell for help.

Looking out to the middle of Long Lake in Grand Traverse County, they noticed an overturned kayak and a family of three in the water, including a small child.

The teens jumped in a fishing boat and headed out to help. They were able to pull a four-year-old girl out of the water, followed by her mom and dad and return them to shore safety.

The Long Lake Township Fire Department credited the teens with life-saving action.

Ethan and Gabe were just glad they were in the right place at the right time to help someone.
